Today, we discussed how we learn best. The types we came up with were:
Flashcards
group discussion
researching and presenting a concept
fill in the blank notes
forming a practice test
creating visuals (mind maps, concept maps, timelines, webs)
using acronyms or mnemonics/ connector words
creating analogies (stories)
reading it out loud
timelines
Powerpoints
games
The students are then to read pages 9 to 27 and then, in pairs, create a learning device that they will present on Thursday (and show us how it works).
